Some people don't get this blog. They don't understand why we write on it. Someone said...."It's been over 2 1/2 years please close the gap. This wasn't an open adoption. No more of this please if u care at all about her." What that person doesn't understand is the gap isn't something that can close. It also has never been an adoption.
A decision was made by your mother and father as to what they thought would be best for you at the time. That doesn't mean any parental rights were relinquished. It simply means they loved you so much they wanted for you what they could give you.
How could we close a "gap" when you will always be missing in our home? Your brothers will always have a sister. They will always know about you. How could we keep that from them? It's heart breaking to think that anyone would want us to "close the gap". It's selfish to think that anyone could ever do that, or should ever do that with regards to their children. How can anyone ever expect us to forget your sweet, innocent, perfect face? It's IMPOSSIBLE! You will ALWAYS and forever hold a special place in our hearts.
We will ALWAYS love you. Your brothers will always love you and think about you.
All our love, Your father, Katelyn, Cayden, and Jaxson
